Can you even imagine losing someone over 40 years ago and never knowing what happened to them.
I saw this John Doe on the doenetwork and it really bothered me because it just seems to me that not a lot of effort was put into his case and here is why.
First, he was found as skeletal remains — this should always be suspicious, right?
Second, they literally say in his case that they think he sat down to wait for something and was either bitten by a snake or had a heart attack.

Ok — so how come no id? How can someone have completely empty pockets if that is the case. A snake? I am going to call bullshit on that one. I live in Georgia and yes, we have snakes but only a few that are poisonous and they are not super aggressive and to be honest, the non-poisonous far outnumber the venomous so doubtful. And if you were bit by a snake, you don’t sit down and die and you don’t die instantly. He would have been up on the road flagging down help, not dying in the woods. Also the estimated age was 20-25, who has a heart attack at 20-25. They state these reasons to justify his sitting position and because he had no blood on him. He could have been a drug overdose who someone dumped. He could have overdosed there himself. He could have been poisoned and dumped and they just sat him up. There are a lot better causes of death than “maybe a snake or a heart attack”
In 1977, this man was found and it is suspected he died 16 months earlier. Since the police work on this one was kinda shitty or their reporting was lacking so 40 years later, it looks shitty, I am going to say anyone missing a young man from about 1973 until he was found and maybe earlier should have a really good look at his case on the doenetwork. His parents are probably dead or very old if he was in his early 20s in the mid-1970s, but he may still have family or siblings so hopefully if someone is missing him, they will find him and get some closure.
His case on the Doe Network is MISSING MAN MACON COUNTY ALABAMA 1977
