So there are a lot of people who say that the increased activity in Yellowstone has nothing to do with the Hawaiian volcanoes and there are some who think that the Pacific ring of fire of volcanoes has nothing to do with the Hawaiian volcanoes but it seems a little bit of simplistic view of the world if you think there isn’t anything connected down deep in the Earth.   The Yellowstone Caldera has seen increased activity and there also a ton of seismic activity and now eruptions on the Big Island.   There are a BUNCH of volcanoes all along the West Coast – if you ski, you have probably skied on a few of them – like Shasta, Hood, Baker and there are a bunch more like St Helens and Rainier.  So if there is a connection between all this activity, you need to keep an eye on the news and the geological news if you live close to any of these because it is always better to be safe and prepared than suprised and sorry.
