So I have an eCommerce Business so shipping is VERY IMPORTANT to me. I travel past 2 closer post offices to get to my AWESOME post office because I am one of their largest customers but large or small, they treat everyone well (remember this Christmas to tip your mail carrier and if you use a post office all the time — they cannot take cash but they can take gifts or non-money gift cards (no visa, etc but for stores is ok) up to $20.)
I plan ahead for Christmas to have issues due to volume. I have all my Q4 packaging in house by mid-Nov, but I still need to get and send packages throughout the Xmas season – it is how I make a living.
So I have a Fedex package that was supposed to come on Thurs — it was on the truck. They didn’t even try to deliver, just marked it as no attempt and for Friday. Friday they marked it no attempt before 4 pm — lol — STUPID!!
And today it is out for delivery — BUT GUESS WHAT — now it says Tuesday — WTF. What happened to today or Monday?? Just realizing that you cannot do it.
At some point, these missed deliveries have to move up the list of priorities.
I get a lot from Amazon for both business and personal and again, I pre-ordered a lot of stuff before black Friday and I suspended my Prime Pantry because that just seemed cruel to do to the drivers even though literally EVERYTHING I buy on Prime pantry is cheaper than the store — but Amazon HAS BEEN GOLDEN this holiday. I haven’t had one missed delivery and I usually have a missed one every couple of weeks when it isn’t Christmas — so Amazon is doing fine with their own drivers.
But FEDEX — YOU ARE A DELIVERY MESS!!!! Get back on track and figure out what you are doing with the missed ones — they cannot wait forever, at some point, you have to make those a priority even if it means you have to pay overtime or bring in some people — You make a commitment to people when they use you for a shipper and they remember it so GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.
